Vietnam Culture Week kicks off in Laos

A Vietnam Culture Week 2019 was kicked off at the Lao National Cultural Hall in Vientiane, Laos on December 5, with an art show featuring folk dances and music performed by artists of the Vietnam National Music, Song and Dance Theatre.

Vientiane (VNA) – A VietnamCulture Week 2019 was kicked off at the Lao National Cultural Hall in Vientiane, Laos on December 5,  with an art show featuring folk dances and music performed by artists of the Vietnam National Music,Song and Dance Theatre.

The event isco-held by Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Laos’ Ministryof Information, Culture and Tourism.

Addressing theopening ceremony, Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism NguyenNgoc Thien said the Vietnam Culture Week 2019 is an important cultural exchangeevent aiming to further strengthen the Vietnam – Laos relations and translatethe two countries’ cultural and tourism cooperation into reality.

He expectedthat the event will mark another milestone in the bilateral ties.

Lao Ministerof Information, Culture and Tourism Kikeo Khaykhamphithouse, for his part,welcomed the organisation of the event in Laos, saying it demonstrates thespecial friendship and solidarity between the two Parties, States and peoples.

After theevent’s opening, the troupe from the Vietnam National Music, Song andDance Theatre will take a tourin Laos to serve local audience and Vietnamese people here./.
