Vietnam Fatherland Front, Cuban Revolution Defence Committees maintain close cooperation
A delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee led by its Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh paid a visit to Cuba from September 23-27, during which they attended the 10th Congress of the Committees for the Defence of the Revolution (CDRs) of Cuba.

Havana (VNA) – A delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)Central Committee led by its Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh paid a visit toCuba from September 23-27, during which they attended the 10th Congress of the Committeesfor the Defence of the Revolution (CDRs) of Cuba.
Anh also held talks with CDRs National Coordinator GerardoHernández Nordelo.
The two sides informed each other of the two countries’relations and their respective organisation’s outstanding activities, anddiscussed and agreed on cooperation contents for 2023 and the followingyears to maintain social order and stability, and support each country’sinterests, based on their stances and international law.
They expressed their hope to continue consolidating andfurther tightening the special traditional friendship, fraternal solidarity,comprehensive cooperation, and mutual trust between the two Parties, States andpeople of Vietnam and Cuba.

On this occasion, the VFF delegation also worked withrepresentatives from the CDR of Matanzas province, visited Nguyen Van Troiprimary school, and paid floral tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at a parknamed after the late leader in Havana./.
The relationship of solidarity and trust between Vietnam and Cuba continues to grow strongly and become increasingly substantive and effective. Relations on all three channels of Party diplomacy, State diplomacy, and people’s diplomacy are increasingly deepening. In addition, two-way economic-trade-investment relations are receiving greater attention.
A photo exhibition showcasing the long-lasting relationship between Vietnam and Cuba took place in the central province of Quang Tri on September 26, marking the 50th anniversary of Cuban leader Fidel Castro’s visit to the liberated zone in Southern Vietnam.
Politburo member and President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez is paying a visit to Vietnam. During the visit, he represents Cuban Party and State leaders to attend activities marking 50 years since Cuban leader Fidel Castro visited the liberated zone in South Vietnam in September 1973.
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong hosted a reception in Hanoi on September 27 for a Cuban high-ranking delegation led by Politburo member of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez, who is in Vietnam to attend a ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of Cuban leader Fidel Castro’s trip to the liberated zone in the south of Vietnam.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Long spoke highly of the dynamic, positive, and comprehensive development of Vietnam – Russia relations in recent years. He affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State place great importance on further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia in a substantive and effective manner, in line with the development needs of both nations.
At the conference, participants reported that the Government has so far issued 28 decrees on the delegation of responsibilities and powers between the central Government and two-tier local administrations. Several localities have already piloted the new governance model.

NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man stressed the need to accelerate the application of artificial intelligence and smart teaching equipment, innovate teaching and assessment methods, and further improve the quality of formal education.
He also pledged that the NA will promote its ongoing supervision, making sure that every promise must lead to results, and every commitment must bring about real changes.
Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien welcomed the proposals put forward by the US side and reiterated Vietnam’s request for consideration of key areas of interest, including reciprocal tariff policies and access for Vietnamese key export products to the US market.
Deputy PM Le Thanh Long proposed countries promote shared values, including building trust, sincerity, and solidarity among nations and peoples; fostering cooperation spirit and responsible behaviour as well as upholding international law and the UN Charter; and placing people at the centre and as the goal, the key player, and the driving force of all policies.
The show, together with a grand parade to be held silmutaneously at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, the National Day, and the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA).
In particular, in April 2023, the two sides successfully carried out a joint operation that dismantled a major organised, transnational drug trafficking ring involving both Vietnamese and Cambodian suspects.
