Vietnam joins Asian–Pacific Heritage Month celebration in New York

Vietnam’s permanent mission to the UN and otherVietnamese representative agencies in New York brought to the festival imagesof the country’s famous landscapes, the beauty of ao dai and traditional artperformances, along with key exports such as tea and coffee.
The festival offers an opportunity for Vietnamto introduce its traditional values and diverse culture to internationalfriends, said Nguyen Phuong Nga, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to theUnited Nations (UN).
The Vietnamese permanent representativedelegation to the UN will donate the proceeds collected from the exhibition tosupport Syrian children as part of charities activities of the UN.
ꦫ Besides Vietnam, 10 other countries andterritories participated in the Asia-Pacific Heritage Month Celebration, whichis held annually by the Suffolk County Asian American Advisory Board tointroduce cultural identities of Asia-Pacific countries to the US andinternational friends and provide them with cultural exchange opportunities.

For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.
