Beijing (VNA) – A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), led by member of its Central Committee and deputy head of the committee’s Commission for Information, Education, and Mass Mobilisation Ngo Dong Hai, attended the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s dialogue with political parties of neighbouring countries in Beijing on May 26.

The conference, hosted by the CPC Central Committee’s International Department, was held under the theme "Building a Community with a Shared Future with Neighboring Countries: Political Parties in Action." It brought together representatives from political parties, government officials, think tanks, and media organisations, and scholars across Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, South Asia, and Central Asia.

Speaking at its thematic forum on increasing exchanges, cooperation and mutual learning among civilisations, the CPV representative reaffirmed Vietnam’s consistent foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation, development, multilateralism, and diversification of international relations.

A particular emphasis has been paid on the longstanding ties between the Vietnamese and Chinese parties and states, Hai noted.

Drawing on Vietnam’s tradition of “pure internationalism,” he stressed the country’s intention to strengthen friendly relations with neighbouring nations and others worldwide, as well as to broaden engagement with political parties globally, particularly in Asia.

🍨 In light of an increasingly complex and unpredictable global landscape, marked by both traditional and non-traditional security challenges, Hai assessed that deepening inter-civilisational cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and cooperation is both necessary and urgent./.
