PM Dung made thestatement while addressing the theme on the global economy and frameworkfor strong, sustainable and balanced growth, at the G20 Seoul Summit inthe Republic of Korea (RoK) on Nov. 12.
PMDung held up the first-ever policy combination at regional and globallevels under the guidance of G20 as the most important reason to helpthe global economy quickly recover.
He proposed theG20 consider the establishment of a pilot policy consultation mechanismwith a number of regional organizations, including ASEAN, to exchangeinformation and views on regional and global financial and economicissues and jointly implement G20’s important decisions.
PM Dung hailed G20 economies, especially its host, for bringingdevelopment issues into the agenda of the G20 Seoul Summit.
He proposed the G20 continue prioritising development issues in itsfuture summit agendas and take measures to assist developing nations,especially those that have entered the middle-income category, to helpthem not fall back to the low-income category.

Themed, “Shared GrowthBeyond the Crisis”, the meeting discussed the world economy andframework for strong, sustainable and balanced growth; developmentissues; trade; reforms of international institutions and safe globalfinancial networks; financial regulation reforms; climate change andgreen growth.
In the context of certain difficulties andchallenges, participating economies made efforts to produce importantresults, including the approval of the Seoul Consensus for Shared Growthand its Multi-Year Action Plan on Development.
Theconsensus indentified nine key pillars, including infrastructure, humanresource development, trade, private investment and job creation, foodsecurity, growth with resilience, financial inclusion, domestic resourcemobilisation and knowledge sharing.
Besides supportingless developed and low-income countries, following proposals ofVietnam and several developing countries, G20 also recognised thenecessity of assisting developing countries in general.
The meeting reiterated its commitment to soon complete the Doha negotiations and end trade protection.
