Moscow (VNA) - Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’sProcuracy Le Minh Tri proposed that Vietnam and Russia should strengthen theexchange of experience in criminal combatting amid the complicated cybercrimesituation during a working session with his Russian counterpart Igor Krasnov inMoscow on June 14.
Tri affirmed that Vietnam always pays great attention to thetraditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia,defining the country as one of the leading partners in its external policy.
He underlined that Vietnam always remembers the pricelesssupport that the former Soviet Union and Russia today have provided to Vietnam duringthe past struggle for independence and current national construction anddevelopment.
Tri thanked the Procuracy of the Russian Federation forassisting Vietnam in personnel training, expressing his hope that the Russianside will create favourable conditions for Vietnamese students and theVietnamese community to settle down in the nation.
For his part, Krasnov said that his country always valuesties with Vietnam. He spoke highly of the outcomes of bilateral cooperation inthe field of procuracy. He affirmed that Russia is always willing to shareexperience with Vietnam in criminal prevention and control, and pledged thatRussia will support Vietnamese students in the country.
On the occasion, the two sides signed a new cooperationagreement to create a foundation for the further development of partnershipbetween the two procuracy sectors in a practical and effective manner.
Also on June 14, the Vietnamese Supreme People’s Procuracy delegation alsovisited the Procuracy University of Russia, and witnessed the signing of amemorandum of understanding between the university and Hanoi Procuratorate University.
On June 15, the delegation visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Moscow./.
