Vietnam, Laos boost cooperation in inspection work

The inspection agencies of the Vietnamese and Laos Governments have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding to bolster their cooperation in the future, which is considered a new development stage between the two bodies.

Vientiane (VNA) – The inspectionagencies of the Vietnamese and Laos Governments have signed a new Memorandum ofUnderstanding to bolster their cooperation in the future, which is considered anew development stage between the two bodies. 

The signing took place during the November 24-28 visit to Laos by a delegationof the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam, led by Inspector General Phan VanSau, at the invitation of Lao Deputy Prime Minister Bounthong Chithmany who isalso Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate of Laos.

During the stay, the delegation had meetings withLao delegation from the Government Inspectorate of Laos led by BounthongChithmany.

The two sides updated each other of the respective countries’ socio-economicdevelopment, shared their experience in inspection, petition settlement,anti-corruption, and discussed development orientations in the coming time.

The two sides spoke highly of the cooperation andexperience sharing between the two nations over the past years, and affirmed tocontinue enhancing comprehensive cooperation in inspection work.

The two sides pledged to do their utmost to make their partnership deeper, morepractical and effective, contributing to promoting the traditional friendshipbetween the two nations in general and the two agencies in particular.

The delegation also met with Lao Prime MinisterThongloun Sisoulith and visited the Committee of Inspection of Luang Prabang provinceto share experience in inspection work at local level./.
