Sixty prominent young people from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia gathered inHanoi on December 8 to begin a four-day conference that aims to seekstronger affiliation and greater role for youths in consolidatingsolidarity among the three countries.
Speaking at theopening ceremony, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho ChiMinh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) Nguyen Dac Vinh, highlighted thetraditional friendship among the three Southeast Asian neighbouringcountries, and called on the young generations to be aware of inheritingand further developing it.
Meanwhile, Head of the CommunistParty of Vietnam Central Committee’s Commission for External AffairsHoang Binh Quan hailed the conference as a practical activitycontributing to educating young generations about the friendship,special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam, Laosand Cambodia.
This offers a good opportunity for seniorleaders of youth organizations of the three countries to exchangeexperience and learn from respective good cooperation models, Quanadded.
