Vietnam Red Cross Society launches campaign to support poor people
The Vietnam Red Cross Society (VNRC) announced on December 31 that it and the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB Bank) have launched a campaign to help disadvantaged people enjoy a warm and happy Tet (Lunar New Year Festival).

Hanoi (VNA) – 🌠The Vietnam Red Cross Society (VNRC)announced on December 31 that it and the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB Bank) have launcheda campaign to help disadvantaged people enjoy a warm and happy Tet (Lunar New Year Festival).
It is part of the VNRC's movement to support the poor andAgent Orange (AO)/dioxin victims ahead of the upcoming Tet, which is the biggest traditional festival of Vietnamese people. Donors can download ‘Thien nguyen’ (Benevolent) applicationdeveloped by the MB Bank to join the programme. They can transfer money to the bank’s account ‘2022’ owned by the VNRC with amessage ‘Tetbinhan’ (safe Tet). The VNRC will hand over the donations to needy peoplenationwide. Bank statements and activities of the campaign will be regularlyupdated at //thiennguyen.app/donate-target/1476496130551336960./.
Two hundreds of the 1,000 donated life jackets for needy fishermen in Khanh Hoa province were presented to those in Van Hung commune of Van Ninh district on November 18.
Since its establishment on November 23, 1946, the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRC) has made great contributions to national construction and defence as well as poverty reduction and social welfare policy implementation.
