Hanoi, January 9 (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Brunei, in collaboration with the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, has launched a photo website at Bruneicharm.com, showcasing the nation’s landscapes, people, and unique cultural features. Highlighting the importance of cultural exchanges in strengthening the bilateral relationship, the idea of the site emerged from a collaborative internship programme between the embassy and the academy. As part of the programme, participating interns designed digital media products, publications, and videos about Vietnam for use in Brunei, while working on developing the photo website in both Vietnamese and English to provide comprehensive information about Brunei.
According to the embassy, Bruneian agencies and partners have expressed optimism about the role of digital technologies in enhancing cooperation in culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges in the time to come. Salinah Binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Acting Director of Tourism Development at Brunei’s Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, shared plans to boost digital tourism applications and collaborate with social media influencers, including those from Vietnam, to promote Brunei’s tourism this year. According to her, digital technology has proven effective in showcasing Vietnamese culture and people to Bruneian partners, and fostering mutual understanding and information sharing between the two nations./.
