Vietnam treasures ties with Peru

Truong Tan Sang, Politburo member and permanentmember of the CPV Central Committee Secretariat, made the statementwhile receiving a CPP-RF delegation headed by its President AlbertoMoreno Rojas in Hanoi on July 22.

Sang spoke highly of the victories of the Latin American left-wing movement and the CPP-RF’s contributions to the process.

He expressed his belief that together with other progressiveleft-wing parties, the CPP-RF will gain greater achievements in thefuture and that the friendship and cooperation between the CPV andCPP-RF as well as the two countries’ people will further develop.

For his part, President Alberto Moreno Rojas said he admired thegreat achievements made by the Vietnamese people during the renewalprocess, considering them valuable experiences for communist andleft-wing parties in Latin America and the world.

He expressed his belief that the CPV will successfully organise its XIth National Party Congress scheduled for next year as well as continueleading the people to harvest greater achievements during the nationaldefence and construction and reach the goal of a rich people, a strongnation and a democratic, fair and civilised society.

He said he wished to see the friendship and cooperation between the two parties and two peoples further promoted.

On the same day, the Peruvian communists held talks with a CPVdelegation led by Hoang Binh Quan, Head of the CPVCC’s Commission forForeign Relations. The two sides agreed on measures to foster bilateralties and grant practical assistance to both countries’ businesses toexpand markets and seek cooperation opportunities, helping furtherstrengthen the Vietnam-Peru relationship in the future./.
