Hanoi (VNA)– Major General Ngo Minh Tien, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the VietnamPeople’s Army (VPA) has called on the Vietnamese and Venezuelan armies to exchangedelegations and experience in Party-building and political and logistics work.

He made the appealwhile hosting a reception for a delegation of Venezuela’s Strategic CommandOperations of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces led by Lieut. Gen. Omar AlexisMontes Meza, head of the operation division, in Hanoi on May 29.

Tien stressed thatVietnam remembers the support of Venezuelan people during the country’sstruggle for national liberation and reunification.

He highlightedconsolidated ties between the two countries’ armies in recent days, especiallythe Venezuelan Defence Ministry’s dispatch of high-ranking defence researchersto Vietnam and its opening of a defence attaché office in Hanoi in August 2017.

For his part, OmarAlexis Montes Meza said the visit offers an opportunity for Venezuelan officersto learn from the VPA’s experience in logistics services and other areas, thus enhancingfriendship between the two countries’ people and armies.-VNA
