Hanoi(VNA) –
Team CLGTftMeePwn of Vietnam won thefirst prize at the WhiteHat Grand Prix2017 cyber security competition, which took place in Hanoi on December 16-17under the theme “Vietnam Heritages”.

The Vietnamese teamcame first with 7,211 points followed by Team 217 from China’s Taiwan6,111 points and the USteam Dogfish 4,611 points.

The grand prize wasworth 225 million VND (about 10,000 USD), while the second and third prizes werevalued at 2,000 USD and 1,000 USD respectively.

Jointly held by Vietnam’s technology group Bkav and the Authority ofInformation Security under the Ministry of Information and Communications, theevent drew 452competitors from 62 countries and territories.

WhiteHatGrand Prix was first held in 2014 and expanded globally from 2015. In 2016, itattracted more than 500 teams from 52 countries.-VNA
