Vietnamese, Cuban embassies in Argentina enhance friendship

Buenos Aires (VNA)– The Vietnamese and Cuban Embassies in Argentina held an exchange programme inBuenos Aires on May 12, aiming to help enhance the friendship and close-knitties between the two nations.
Speaking at the event,Vietnamese Ambassador Dang Xuan Dung affirmed the support of the Party, Governmentand people of Vietnam for Cuba’s revolution and socio-economic model update,expressing his hope that Cuba will overcome all difficulties to succeed insocialism building.
He thanked the Cuban Party,Government and people for their valuable support, solidarity and fraternitywith Vietnam during the country’s past struggle for national independence aswell as its present Doi Moi (Reform) cause and national construction.
Vietnamese people also keepin mind Cuban leader Fidel Castro’s statement that “For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to shed its blood,” thediplomat stressed.
For his part, CubanAmbassador Orestes Perez Perez highlighted the model relationship betweenVietnam and Cuba, which, he said, has been tested over the past decades.
Applauding achievementsVietnam has recorded in economic development, the ambassador said Vietnam andCuba will continue to stand side by side with each other in the path ofsocialism building despite changes of the era.-VNA

Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien welcomed the proposals put forward by the US side and reiterated Vietnam’s request for consideration of key areas of interest, including reciprocal tariff policies and access for Vietnamese key export products to the US market.
