New Delhi (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy inIndia on April 1 held an online meeting with representatives of the Vietnamese communities in India and Nepal.
In his remarks,Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai affirmed that policies of the Vietnamese Party and State always consider overseasVietnamese an integral partof the nation, and an important resource fornational construction, development and defence.
The Partyand State always encourage Vietnameseabroad to return and invest in business and production at home, contributing to national construction and defence, hecontinued.
The diplomat briefedthe OVs on the homeland’s situation as well as the development of the Vietnam-Indiacomprehensive strategic partnership.
Representatives ofthe Vietnamese communities proposed solutions facilitating payment between Vietnamand India, and expressed their hope that the Party and State will pay moreattention to the export of Vietnamese farming and aquatic products to India.
Hai lauded thesolidarity of the OVs and urged them to continue preserving the Vietnameselanguage for their next generations./.
Minister of National Defence Gen. Phan Van Giang hosted a reception in Hanoi on March 16 for Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Sandeep Arya, during which they discussed measures to strengthen the two countries’ defence cooperation.
The Vietnam - India Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern Institute of Social Sciences under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) on March 21 held a workshop "Vietnam - India Relations: Tradition and Present", seeking measures to boost the two countries’ relations.
