Many Vietnamese expatriates in Mexico have expressed their sorrow at the death of Cuba’s revolutionary leader Fidel Castro Ruz, who passed away on November 25.

MexicoCity (VNA) – Many Vietnamese expatriates in Mexico have expressedtheir sorrow at the death of Cuba’s revolutionary leader Fidel Castro Ruz, whopassed away on November 25.

VietnameseAmbassador to Mexico Le Linh Lan led a delegation of her embassy staff to paytribute to him at the Cuban Embassy in Mexico on November 28.

Writingin the condolence book, she offered deepest sympathies on the passing away ofFidel Castro, who was a close friend of Vietnamese leaders and people.

Sheexpressed her belief that the Cuban people will continue firmly moving forwardsunder the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba while promoting the legacyof Fidel Castro.

His lifeand career became an immortal revolutionary symbol of peoples and progressivemovements around the world, as well as those fighting for peace, nationalindependence, freedom and equality. He was also a prime example of theinternationalism among Latin American, African and Asian people, the diplomatwrote.

Vietnamand Cuba officially established the diplomatic ties on December 2, 1960. Sincethen, Fidel Castro continually stood side by side with the Southeast Asiannation during the struggle for national liberation and re-construction.

NationalAssembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan is leading a Vietnamese delegation topay homage to him in Havana. Other Party and State leaders, along with manyVietnamese people have also expressed condolences on his death.
