Tokyo (VNA) – TwoVietnamese teams and nine others from Japancompeted in the final of Pikalong War, a contest for programmers, in Tokyo on October 27.
The contest began on September 25 with the participation of67 teams with 200 programmers.
Deputy General Director of FPT Japan Do Van Khac, arepresentative of the contest’s organising board, said Pikalong War creates aplayground for software developers to learn from each other’s experience indeveloping new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) andBlockchain.
Pikalong War was organised by FPT Japan, a branch ofVietnam’s largest software producer FPT Group, for those who are in love withthe challenge of AI, with prizes worth up to 17,000 USD.
The first prize went to Vookie, a three-member team from theUniversity of Tokyo. -VNA
Japan ICT Day 2018 themed “Vietnam – Japan IT Cooperation in the 4th Industrial Revolution” will take place in Hanoi and the central city of Da Nang from August 28-31.
With its recent increase in adoption rate, innovations in artificial intelligence (AI) technology are looking to have a big impact on the workforce across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) over the next few decades, according to a new study by Cisco and Oxford Economics.
Some 28 million labourers in ASEAN’s top six economies are likely to become unemployed due to digital transformation and acceleration of the Fourth Industry Revolution.
