Hanoi (VNA) – A new school yearceremony has been held at the Vietnamese language class in Kiev, Ukraine, aimingto preserve national cultural values.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine Nguyen Anh Tuanemphasised the importance of teaching and learning Vietnamese among expatriatesin Ukraine, calling it an effective way to preserve the nation’s tradition andculture.
Over the years, the Vietnamese Embassy inUkraine has carried out several activities to increase the quality of teachingand learning Vietnamese in the host society, including choosing 2017 as the“Year of Vietnamese language”.
On the occasion of the new academic year, theembassy presented textbooks to students and provided partial funding for theoperation of the class.
There are more than 20 Vietnamese languageclasses in Ukraine with about 400 students in total.-VNA
