Vietnamese leaders congratulate French President over re-election

Hanoi (VNA) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and PresidentNguyen Xuan Phuc on April 25 sent their congratulations to Emmanuel Macronover his re-election as President of France.
Vietnam and France set up diplomatic ties onApril 12, 1973. The two countries will celebrate the 50th anniversary ofdiplomatic ties and 10 years of the strategic partnership in 2023./.
Leaders of the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho and French Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Emmanuelle Pavillon Grosser reached consensus on the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in tourism, health care and education during their meeting on March 15.

A seminar entitled Vietnam-France relations and Vietnam-European Union (EU) relations was held on April 13 by the Vietnamese Embassy in Paris, in coordination with the Society for East Asian Affairs (SEAA), drawing the participation of students from the Paris Institute of Political Studies, commonly referred to as Sciences Po.
