Hanoi, (VNA) – Party GeneralSecretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong and Prime Minister Nguyen XuanPhuc on November 30 sent congratulations to Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. on hiselection as President of the US.
In their congratulatory messages, the Vietnameseleaders expressed their belief that on the basis of bilateral relations builtover the last 25 years, the Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership will continuedeveloping in a result-oriented, effective, and sustainable manner, benefiting thetwo peoples as well as peace, security, stability, cooperation, and developmentin the region and the world.
The same day, Vice State President Dang Thi NgocThinh also extended congratulations to Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and US National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien on November 21 agreed that Vietnam and the US will continue cooperating in order to cope with common challenges, thus significantly contributing to peace, stability, prosperity and cooperation in the region and the world.
