Vietnamese scientists in France look to homeland

Vietnamese scientists and experts living in France will work with their colleagues in the homeland in practical research works that are highly applicable to socio-economic and scientific development.
Vietnamese scientists and experts living in France will work withtheir colleagues in the homeland in practical research works that arehighly applicable to socio-economic and scientific development.

The orientation was set in the 2013-2015 working term of theAssociation for Vietnamese Scientists and Experts in France (AVSE)during the association’s second congress on May 25.

In the term,the scientists and experts have set to expand their network, organisemore thematic workshops, and boost the establishment of partnership andbusiness cooperation with the French scientific institutions to promoteVietnam-France relations.

AVSE Chairman Nguyen Duc Khuongreported that during 2011-2013 the association has organised 20international conferences, symposiums and training courses focusing onthe fields of construction, finance and economics, IT andtelecommunications.

Noticeably, AVSE hosted severaltalks dealing with historical, legal, and geopolitical issues relatingto the East Sea to affirm Vietnam ’s national sovereignty overHoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, Khuong added.

The congress elected AVSE’s 13-member advisory council and its 22- member executive board./.
