Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese experts, scientistsand postgraduates in Sweden have shared the wish to contribute more to thescience-technology sector in their homeland at a recent get-together.
The hybrid meeting was held by the VietnameseMinistry of Science and Technology, and the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden.
In his remarks, Ambassador Tran Van Tuan stressedthe important role of overseas Vietnamese experts, scientists and postgraduatesin national development, and called on those in Sweden to help Vietnameserepresentative agencies attract Swedish investors to Vietnam, especially ingreen transition, digital transformation, energy transition, and innovation.
He also suggested the establishment of an associationgathering Vietnamese experts and scientists in the European country, whichreceived support from the participants. The participants expressed their willingness to workas a bridge between Swedish groups and enterprises and Vietnam in the field ofscience-technology.

Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, permanent member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Secretariat, and head of the committee’s Organisation Commission paid a working visit to Sweden from October 28 – November 1.
There is plenty of room for Vietnam and Sweden to boost cooperation in many areas, especially those of each other’s strength and demand, stated Vietnamese Ambassador to Sweden Tran Van Tuan.
Trade between Vietnam and Sweden has been growing steadily for many years, with the North European country’s imports rising 9% annually during 2018 - 2022, a relatively impressive figure, an official has said.
