Vietnamese Students' Association in Belgium convenes 5th congress
The Vietnamese Students' Association in Belgium (SIVIBI) on March 23 convened its 5th congress to review activities during the 2021-2024 term and set out orientations for the next three years.

Brussels (VNA)🍌 – The Vietnamese Students' Association in Belgium (SIVIBI) onMarch 23 convened its 5th congress to review activities during the 2021-2024term and set out orientations for the next three years.
Morethan 30 delegates representing over 500 Vietnamese students who are studying at12 universities in 10 cities and provinces in Belgium attended the congress. Duringthe last term, SIVIBI paid much attention to expanding the association,attracting more members, and taking part in activities held by the Vietnameseassociation in Belgium. Particularly, the association implemented a programme that offered support to Vietnamesestudents as soon as they arrived in Belgium to start their study. It alsoactively joined events to promote Vietnamese culture in the host country. Speakingat the congress, Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium Nguyen Van Thao pointed outimportant tasks for SIVIBI to further develop the community of Vietnamese students inBelgium and contribute to Vietnam’s development. He urgedoverseas Vietnamese students to focus on studying, and develop comprehensively. SIVIBI was also requested to closely connect with domestic associations and the Vietnamesecommunity in Belgium to build a strong network that will support itsmembers better./.
