Vietnamese students promote culture in Russia

Vietnamese students from 15 universities in Moscow, Russia, gathered at the Moscow Civil Engineering Institute (MISI) on December 6 to introduce and promote Vietnamese culture to international friends.

Moscow (VNA) – Vietnamese studentsfrom 15 universities in Moscow, Russia, gathered at the Moscow CivilEngineering Institute (MISI) on December 6 to introduce and promote Vietnameseculture to international friends.

The idea of organising the event was initiated byMinister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha in September 2018 during his visitto the university.

Rector of the university Andrey Volkov welcomedthe festival and said the MISI has trained thousands of Vietnamese students,who make up the largest proportion of international students at the university.

A photograph exhibition on Vietnamese landscapesand people was held as part of the event.

Foreign friends also had an opportunity to tasteVietnamese foods and participate in traditional games.

Chairman of Yaroslav district Sergey Kerzhakov sharedthat he has never been to Vietnam, but that through these activities he hasdeveloped a taste for Vietnamese foods and hopes to visit the Southeast Asiancountry in the near future.–VNA
