Vietnamese students shine at Int’l Chemistry Olympiad
Vietnam have bagged four medals at the 50th edition of the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 2018), announced the Ministry of Education and Training on July 29.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam have bagged four medals at the 50th edition ofthe International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 2018), announced the Ministry ofEducation and Training on July 29.
All Vietnamese students taking part in the competition this year have earnedone gold, two silver and one bronze medals.
🎃 The gold medal was carried off by Pham Duc Anh, the 12th grader of High Schoolfor Gifted Students, Hanoi University of Science, Vietnam National University.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Van Chi Nguyen, the 11thgrader from Lam Son High School of Thanh Hoa province, and Hoang Thanh Tung,the 12th grader from Le Hong Phong High School of Nam Dinh province, broughthome the silver medal. Phan Nhat Duat, the 12th grader from Nghe An province’sPhan Boi Chau High School, bagged a bronze medal.
The students are scheduled to return to Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport in the morningof July 30.
The IChO 2018 took place in the Czech Republic and Slovakia from July 19-29,with the participation of 304 contestants from 82 countries and territories.

Le Ky Nam, a 12th grader from Ha Long High School for the Gifted High School in the Northern Province of Quang Ninh, has been commended and rewarded for his excellent achievement in the recently-concluded 19th Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO 2018) in Hanoi.
All six Vietnamese students competing in the 59th International Mathematics Olympiad in Rumania brought home medals, including one gold, according to the Quality Management Department under the Ministry of Education and Training.
All four members of the Vietnamese team attending the 2018 International Biology Olympiad recently held in Iran won medals, with three gold and one silver, according to the Ministry of Education and Training.
At the 29th International Biology Olympiad, all four members of the Vietnamese team won medals. In particular, Nguyen Phuong Thao won the highest score and was honoured as the first winner.
The programmes have brought about positive changes to rural infrastructure, comprehensively improved the material and spiritual lives of farmers, and contributed to Vietnam's economic restructuring, said PM Pham Minh Chinh.
The festival highlighted the contributions and robust development of Vietnam's revolutionary press over the past century while promoting press products and showcasing the creativity of Vietnamese journalists.
