Vietnam’s foreign ministry appoints new spokesperson

Hanoi (VNA) – Le Thi Thu Hang has been appointed ashead of the Press and Information Department of Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry,becoming the new spokesperson of this ministry.
She replaces Le Hai Binh, who is now DeputyDirector of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
At the ministry’s regular press conference onMarch 30, Binh said this was the last press conference he chaired as theministry’s spokesman. He also thanked journalists and press agencies forsupporting and cooperating with the Press and Information Department, as wellas with him.
Incoming spokesperson Hang said she hopes thepress will continue working with the Foreign Ministry in updating the world oninformation about Vietnam. She affirmed that she is open to the media’sopinions so as to serve the country as good as possible.
Hang had worked at the Press and InformationDepartment for nearly two decades before she became Minister Counsellor of theVietnamese Embassy in the UK from 2012 to 2015.

Under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh and the CPV, President Cuong said, the press has been a steadfast force on the ideological and cultural front, rallying the masses to pursue national aspirations.
NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man stressed the need to accelerate the application of artificial intelligence and smart teaching equipment, innovate teaching and assessment methods, and further improve the quality of formal education.
He also pledged that the NA will promote its ongoing supervision, making sure that every promise must lead to results, and every commitment must bring about real changes.
