Vietnam’s housing floor area averages 25sq.m per person in 2021

Vietnam’s average housing floor area reaches 25sq.m per person in 2021, one sq.m higher than that of 2020, according to the Ministry of Construction.

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam’s average housing floor area reaches 25sq.mper person in 2021,  one sq.m higher than that of 2020, according to the Ministryof Construction.

Next year, the country targets to raise the figure to 25.5 sq.mper person.

To that end, the ministry will study and complete the lawsystem related to the management and development of housing and real estatemarket, and create an open and favourable business environment to attractinvestment for development.

The ministry will urge localities to implement Directive11/CT-TTg dated April 23, 2019 of the Prime Minister on a number of solutionsto promote stable and healthy development of the real estate market; andcontinue to closely monitor the market’s developments to propose solutionssuitable to reality.

In the coming time, it will ask localities to step up therenovation and rebuilding of old apartment buildings to ensure safeaccommodations for people and contribute to urban embellishment and civilised andmodern urban construction./.
