Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam’s No 1 tennis player Ly Hoang Nam d𒊎ropped to 901st place from 870 in the ATP rankings, which were released🌄 earlier this week.

Nam fell due to recent consecutive defeats in the F4 Futures and F5 Futures in Japan, both at the hands of Japan’s Kento Takeuchi, ranked 408th at the time of the tournaments. Nam also lost to Chile’s Marcelo Barrios, Spain’s Alvaro Lopez and Brazil’s Orlando Luz during the ITF Junior Masters, which took place in China last week. The 20 year-old was the first Vietnamese tennis player to win a Grand Slam title after he won Boys’ Doubles final at the 2015 Wimbledon Championships.-VNA
