A Vietnamese Party and State delegation is paying a visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea from September 8-11 to attend celebrations of the latter’s Day of the Foundation of the Republic (September 9).

Hanoi (VNA) – A Vietnamese Party and Statedelegation is paying a visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)from September 8-11 to attend celebrations of the latter’s Day of theFoundation of the Republic (September 9).
On September 10, the head of the delegation, Tran Thanh Man,who is Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee andPresident of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, held talks with Politburomember and Vice Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea Pak Tae Song.
They informed each other of their Party and State’ssituation, and exchanged views on measures to boost relations between the twoParties and States.
Pak Tae Song welcomed the Vietnamese delegation’s visit andattendance at the founding day celebrations, affirming that this is greatencouragement for the DPRK’s Party, Government, and people.
He affirmed that the DPRK always attaches importance to andwishes to intensify collaboration between the two Parties and States. He saidhe believes Vietnam will go on to gain even greater achievements in the nationbuilding and safeguarding process.
Man congratulated the DPRK’s people on their achievementsover the past seven decades and wished them many more successes.
He stressed the need for the two countries to strengthencooperation to bring about practical benefits to their people, as well as tocontribute to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region andacross the world.
On the same day, the Vietnamese official had a meeting with PakMyong Chol, President and General Secretary of the Democratic Front for theReunification of the Fatherland of the DPRK.
Along with its attendance at the founding day celebrations,the Vietnamese delegation also visited several economic, cultural, andhistorical establishments in Pyongyang. –VNA
