Beijing (VNA) –꧟ The Embassy ofVietnam in China held a cultural and sports exchange in Beijing on April 28, tomark the 43rd Reunification Day (April 30) and the International Labour Day(May 1), with the participation of the Lao Embassy in the country.
Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassadorto China Dang Minh Khoi said in its external policy, Vietnam always attachesimportance to the sustainable development of its friendship with neighbouringcountries, including Laos, China and Cambodia. He voiced his hope that the relationsbetween Vietnam and Laos, Vietnam and China as well as between ASEAN and Chinawill be consolidated in all fields, contributing to each country’s national buildingwhile fostering regional and international peace, cooperation and development. For his part, Vandy Bouthasavong, LaoAmbassador to China, affirmed the event helps enhance the friendship of the twoembassies and the Vietnam-Laos traditional friendship, special solidarity andcomprehensive cooperation. After the victories of the Hue-Da Nang Campaign and the Tay Nguyen Campaign, the Politburo decided to launch the Ho Chi Minh Campaign on April 9, 1975 to liberate Saigon.
History and the development of Ho Chi Minh City have been highlighted at an exhibition opened in four locations – Nguyen Hue and Dong Khoi streets, the opposition area of Chi Lang Park and Labour Culture Palace in District 1 of the city on April 26.
The Embassy of Vietnam to Chile celebrated the 43th anniversary of the liberation of southern Vietnam and national reunification (April 30, 1975) in a ceremony on April 28 which gathered the Vietnamese community in Chile and many foreign guests.
