VinaPhone 5G network launched in Hanoi, HCM City

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) announcedon December 19 it officially launches VinaPhone 5G network in Hanoi and HCMCity.

This is a milestone in Vietnam's technology development as 5G technology isbringing about important changes in all aspects of social life while at thesame time laying a solid foundation for building a digital government in thecountry.

Upon the successful launch of the Vinaphone 5G network, Deputy Minister ofInformation and Communications Phan Tam said to date, three bigtelecommunications and information technology enterprises have helped Vietnamadvance into the one of the leading countries in 5G deployment worldwide.

Experts have agreed the ownership of 5G equipment has a national strategicmeaning.

All three major carriers in Vietnam, including Viettel, VinaPhone, andMobiFone, have deployed 5G networks in Hanoi and HCM City. With speeds 10 timeshigher than the current 4G, 5G is expected to solve data network problems whileproviding smoother speed experiences./.
