VN-Australia mural village in Dong Thap to attract visitors

Dong Thap (VNA) – The Vi♎etnam -Australia friendship mural village in Tinh Thoi commune, Cao Lanh city of theMekong Delta province of Dong Thap is ex🦋pected to draw more visitors to thelocality.
Vice Chairman of the Cao Lanh People’sCommittee Vo Phan Thanh Minh said the two-kilometre art project, which runsalong Tien River, was funded by the Australian Embassy in Vietnam. There are over 60 mural paintings drawn by30 artists from Australia and Ho Chi Minh City as well as students of Dong Thap-baseduniversities, with images of lotus flowers and tangerine gardens in Dong Thapand Australia’s symbols such as kangaroos and koala bears. The inauguration of the Vietnam-Australiafriendship mural village is scheduled for early January 2018. The village,along with Cao Lanh bridge connecting Mekong Delta’s central region, reflectsthe close relations between Vietnam and Australia. The bridge was built at a total cost of 3trillion VND (132.12 million USD), including 160 million AUD (124.83 million USD)of non-refundable aid from the Australian Government.-VNA
Vietnam and Australia issued a joint press release on the outcomes of the talks between Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in Da Nang city on November 10.
Vietnam prioritises developing cooperation and friendship with countries, while further deepening relations with its key partners, including Australia, National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has affirmed.
The National Assembly (NA) and Government of Vietnam always support and create favourable conditions for Vietnamese and Australian friendship organisations to increase activities.

The Vietnamese team will gather on June 26 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, where they will train until July 14 before departing for Indonesia for the ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, which runs from July 15 to 29. Vietnam will face Laos on July 19 and Cambodia on July 22 in the group stage.
The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.
