Website of Tan Son Nhat airport hacked

The website of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, www.tansonnhatairport.vn, was allegedly hacked on late March 8 as many people reported to have failed to enter this website at about 10:45 p.m. of the day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The website of Tan Son NhatInternational Airport, www.tansonnhatairport.vn, was allegedly hacked on lateMarch 8 as many people reported to have failed to enter this website at about10:45 p.m. of the day.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV)said on March 9 that it was not a normal attack since “the hacker did not stealor delete any data in the system.”

What left on the website read that the hackerhad found out the website’s protection system was weak and then carried out anattack to warn the cyber security staff of the flaw.

The website was recovered at around 10 a.m. ofMarch 9, the CAAV said, adding that operations of Tan Son Nhat airport, basedin Ho Chi Minh City, were not affected by the incident.

This was not the first time Vietnam’s aviationindustry had been hacked.

On July 29, 2016 afternoon, Vietnam Airlines’computers at check-in areas of the domestic terminals in Tan Son Nhat and NoiBai airports were hacked, delaying more than 10 flights with some 2,000passengers.-VNA
