Winners of sixth National Press Awards on Party Building to be honoured next month

Hanoi (VNA) – An awarding ceremony of the sixth National PressAwards on Party Building, called “Bua Liem Vang” (Golden Hammer & Sickle),will be held in Hanoi on January 21, 2022.

Speaking at a meeting of the steering committee andorganising board of the press awards on December 27, deputy head of the PartyCentral Committee’s Organisation Commission Mai Van Chinh said that from 110entries selected to the final round, the jury chose 64 outstanding works,including six A, 12 B, 16 C and 30 consolation prizes, and 10 thematic prizesfor the most outstanding work on the dissemination of the 13th National Party Congress, the one on protecting the ideological foundation ofthe Party, and the one on the struggle against “peaceful evolution”, amongothers.

In addition, the organising board will honour 15 pressagencies, journalists' associations, and the municipal, provincial PartyCommittees’ boards on information and education, and organisation with outstandingachievements in holding and responding to the Press Awards. Three agencies withcreative communication products on Party building work will also be honoured.

At the fifth National Press Awards on Party Building, thejury presented one special prize, five A prizes, 10 B prizes, 16 C prizes and27 consolation prizes.

The 90-episode documentary series “Vietnam in the Ho ChiMinh Era –Televisual Annals”, developed by Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, won thespecial prize.

Meanwhile, the photo reportage “The entire political systemand people join hands in the fight against COVID-19” of a group ofphotojournalists from the Vietnam News Agency got the A prize.  The reportage demonstrates Vietnam’s successin disease prevention and control, with Vietnamese citizens brought home fromdisease-hit areas, as well as the disease prevention and control work atconcentrated quarantine facilities and hospitals./.
