Workshop promotes Vietnam’s initiative on displaying ASEAN Flag
A workshop was held in Hanoi on May 22, providing guidelines for displaying the ASEAN Flag next to the National Flag at the compound of ASEAN Member State’s military units participating in United Nations Peacekeeping Operations.

Hanoi (VNA) – A workshop was held in Hanoi on May 22, providing guidelinesfor displaying the ASEAN Flag next to the National Flag at the compound ofASEAN Member State’s military units participating in United Nations PeacekeepingOperations.
The event, held in a hybrid format, attracted theparticipation of representatives from ASEAN countries, the ASEAN Secretariatand the Military Attachés of ASEAN countries in Vietnam.
It aimed to promote the realisation of Vietnam's initiativeon this issue, which was adopted at the 14th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting(ADMM) in December 2020.

Vietnam's initiative is to promote solidarity within theASEAN community in general and among defence forces of ASEAN countries inparticular; and at the same time affirms the cohesion, development andconsensus of ASEAN for the purpose of maintaining peace and stability in theworld.
At the workshop, representatives of ASEAN countriesexpressed their support for Vietnam's initiative; and discuss and contributemany practical ideas to complete the guiding document./.
The ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC) has recently organised the 7th Forum of Entities Associated with ASEAN, gathering representatives of professional associations in the region.
Challenges and development prospects of ASEAN member countries during the regional integration process were highlighted at an international conference held by the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia (ICCA) under the Russian Academy of Sciences that opened in Russia on May 17.

At a review conference held on June 21, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh praised the province’s scientific, coordinated, and flexible approach.
