WorldTrans launches Can Tho – Bangkok direct flights for 2018
WorldTrans announced its schedule for direct charter flights between Can Tho and Bangkok this year at a press conference in the Mekong Delta city on March 28.
Can Tho (VNA) – The travel and transportation servicescompany WorldTrans announced its schedule for direct charter flights betweenCan Tho and Bangkok this year at a press conference in the Mekong Delta city onMarch 28.
As planned, WorldTrans will operate eight flights betweenthe two destinations in June and July using the 180-seat AIRBUS 320 aircraftfrom VietJet Air. Flight duration is 1 hour and 25 minutes, with a round-tripticket costing 4.6 million VND (201.48 USD).
The direct route helps save a great deal of time transitingin Ho Chi Minh City as normal.
WorldTrans General Director Vu Duc Bien said the companyaims at becoming a leading charter flight service provider in Vietnam, notingthat it is planning to launch 150 charter flights between Vietnam and worldtourism hubs such as Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Thailand, and ASEANmember countries.
Air trips between Can Tho and other destinations accountfor 30 percent of the company’s total flights, he added.
Dao Anh Dung, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho People’sCommittee said the local tourism has experienced robust growth in recent years.The city has welcomed many delegations of tourists to Can Tho and the MekongDelta region in general as well as sent a large number of locals to domesticand overseas destinations.
The Can Tho international airport has received significantinvestments but has yet to capitalise on its full capacity, Dung stressed.
