Beijing (VNA) – The Chinese media on November13-14 run articles highlighting the State visit to Vietnam by GeneralSecretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and State President Xi Jinpingas well as his attendance at the 25th APEC Economic Leaders’Meeting.
On its November 13 issue, the People Daily published a storysaying that in Hanoi, the two countries’ leaders agreed to boost the bilateralcomprehensive strategic cooperative partnership for the more interests of thetwo peoples.
Both sides appreciated each other’s developmentachievements, pledging to maintain and promote the time-honoured friendshipbetween Vietnam and China, the article noted.
It also said that the article entitled “Development prospectsfor China-Vietnam relations” written by Xi on Vietnam’s Nhan Dan (People)Newspaper has been highly praised by the countries’ experts and scholars.
China's news agency Xinhua stressed that Party GeneralSecretary and President Xi called on the two sides to pay attention to generalinterests of the Parties and States which originate from the two peoples’ basicinterests, and to work together to help the traditional friendship overcomedifficulties and open a new chapter in the bilateral relations.
Meanwhile, Qiushi newspaper ran an article emphasisingthat in their talks, the two countries’ leaders agreed to maintain the exchangeof high-level delegations, continuously pursue friendship policies, intensifystrategic exchanges and political trust, and satisfactorily solve disagreementsin order to keep the China-Vietnam relations on the right track.
The Global Times wrote the two sides committed to expandingcooperation in culture, education, communications, health, tourism and youthwork.
They also were unanimous in tackling sea-related issuessatisfactorily, stepping up maritime cooperation in different forms, includingmaintaining peace and stability in the East Sea based on the consensus whichused to be reached by the two countries’ Party and State leaders, it noted.
