69th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory made headlines on Lao newspaper

The article affirmed that the Dien Bien Phu victory was one of the pinnacle battles, the most comprehensive test, and the fiercest battle between the Vietnam People's Army and the French invaders with the intervention and support of the American imperialists. The victory made the old-style colonialism disintegrate for the first time in the world, forcing the strategic planners of the imperialist countries to turn to the implementation of the new-style imperialism.
The article clearly states that the Dien Bien Phu victory clarifies the truth that a colonial, semi-feudal country with a weak army and inadequate equipment, but with unity, direction, and leadership of the genuine Marxist Party and President Ho Chi Minh, and all forces to wage a people's war - can defeat the aggressor with economic strengths and powerful armed forces.
According to the Pasaxon, the Dien Bien Phu victory is not only the victory of the Vietnamese people but also of the Lao people and the Cambodian people who fought side by side, fighting against the enemy to liberate themselves. It emphasises that the victory had quelled the old colonialism's will to invade, forced the French Government to sign the Geneva Agreement on Indochina and recognise the national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.
It affirmed that the Dien Bien Phu victory is very important for the special solidarity relationship between the two countries and the Laos-Vietnam alliance because that is the victory of the two countries that are against a common enemy. Also, it is a testament to the cooperation and support of each other not only in the campaign but also forever./.
