Hanoi (VNA) – The following is a brief review of the day’s events as reported by the Vietnam News Agency. - A delegation of the Party Central Committee, the State President, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee laid a wreath and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on the morning of February 3 on the occasion of the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) (February 3, 1930 – 2025).

Prominent among the participants were Party General Secretary To Lam; former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; State President Luong Cuong; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung; Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien. In an interview granted to the Vietnam News Agency (VNA)'s resident reporters in Tokyo on the occasion of the CPV’s 95th founding anniversary (February 3, 1930 - 2025), Motoo emphasised that the greatest significance of its establishment was that it opened up new prospects for the Vietnamese national liberation movement, putting an end to the crisis in terms of ideological direction. - Vietnam’s tourism industry experienced robust growth during the nine-day Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday between January 25 and February 2, serving 12.5 million domestic visitors, a 19% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Several provinces and cities recorded a sharp rise in the number of tourists, according to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Ho Chi Minh City took the lead with 2.1 million visitors, up 16.7% year-on-year, generating 7.69 trillion VND (307 million USD) in tourism revenue, 17.4% higher than in 2024. It was followed by Hanoi with 1 million visitors; Quang Ninh with 969,000 holidaymakers; Ba Ria - Vung Tau with 869,433 tourists; and Khanh Hoa with 825,195 travellers. Read full story

- A total of 445 traffic accidents were reported nationwide during the nine-day Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday from January 25 to February 2, marking a 36.69% decrease compared to the same period last year, according to the Traffic Police Department.

In Trap hamlet, Cu M'gar commune, Cu M'gar district, on these days, the Party flags and the national flags are flying along the 1km-long main road leading to the hamlet centre.
