- General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam attended and delivered a keynote policy speech at a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Vietnam's accession to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Jakarta, Indonesia, on March 10 morning on the occasion of his official visit to the ASEAN Secretariat.

- General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam attended a high-level business dialogue themed “A Partnership for Progress and Prosperity" in Jakarta on March 10 morning as part of his state visit to Indonesia and official visit to the ASEAN Secretariat there.

Jointly organised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance, the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia, the Indonesia-Vietnam Friendship Association, and Ciputra Group, the event saw the participation of senior officials and representatives of businesses and relevant agencies from both nations.Read full story

- General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam’s upcoming official visit to Singapore is of historic significance, as it marks an important stage in the bilateral relationship, and also a stage in which the two countries are looking towards the upgrade of ties to a new level, Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Jaya Ratnam told the media.

According to the diplomat, Lam’s trip, the first by a Vietnamese Party General Secretary to Singapore since 2012, takes place at a historic juncture in the bilateral relationship and the world itself. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has requested extra efforts to reduce administrative procedure processing time and business costs (compliance costs) by at least 30%, while also abolishing 30% of unnecessary business conditions.

In his March 9 official dispatch on some key tasks and solutions to cut down administrative procedures, improve the business environment, and promote socio-economic development, PM Chinh urged ministries, agencies, and localities to focus on thoroughly reviewing, reducing, and simplifying regulations and administrative procedures related to investment, production, business activities, and citizens' daily lives; and conduct business-related procedures online, ensuring smooth, seamless, and efficient operations. - The US's TIME magazine has unveiled its list of the "Asia-Pacific's Best Companies of 2025", featuring 500 standout firms across the region. Notably, Vietnam's automaker VinFast secured the 101st position in the list.

This accolade places VinFast among the firms "shaping the region's role in global business", underscoring its increasing impact to the Asia-Pacific's sustainable economic and social development. Read full story

- The Vietnamese coffee industry made a distinct impression in the first two months of this year, with export turnover rising by 26.2% year-on-year to 1.58 billion USD while volume falling by 28.4% to 284,000 tonnes, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

This achievement not only affirms Vietnam's position in the global coffee market but also opens bright prospects for exceeding the 6 billion USD target this year. Read full story

- Vietnam’s first radar-based Earth observation satellite, LOTUSat-1, has been completed, with its ground system in Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park (Hanoi) fully prepared to receive data once the satellite is launched into orbit.
