Bangkok (VNA/ NNT) – The 49th ASEAN Working Group on Intellectual Property Cooperation Meeting is currently being held in Banꦜgkok to set up regional cooperation on IP protection and a🐼 long-term management plan.

According to Thai Commerce Minister ApiradeeTantaraporn, Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce is seeking cooperation from trade partners and other ASEAN member-nations in a bid to prevent all types of intellectual property (IP) infringement.
Minister Apiradee said IP products are important to businesses, especially those manufacturing innovative goods. As technology becomes sophisticated, new types of copyrights violation have also emerged. The Department of Intellectual Property has always been sharing and receiving information about IP rights and infringement with other nations. This will help improve IP management in Thailand and prepare the country to become a party to international agreements on IP, such as the Madrid and the Hague agreements.-VNA
