Quang Binh (VNA) – Authorised forces in the centralprovince of Quang Binh have defused a 200kg bomb in Minh Hoa district,according to the Cha Lo International Border Gate Guard Station.
The bomb was discovered by workers who were working at a construction in theCha Lo International Border Gate area at 7:20pm on January 10.
It is 1.6 metre long and has a diameter of 0.3 metre.
After being informed, authoritised forces were present at the site immediatelyand took necessary steps to safely move and defuse the bomb on January 11.-VNA
A 230kg bomb was salvaged from the Hoi Tren riverbed in Thach Son Commune, Thach Ha District of the central province of Ha Tinh, during construction of a sewage and canal system.
The programmes have brought about positive changes to rural infrastructure, comprehensively improved the material and spiritual lives of farmers, and contributed to Vietnam's economic restructuring, said PM Pham Minh Chinh.
