A book exhibition marking the 50-year implementation of President Ho Chi Minh’s testament was opened at the Academy of Politics Region II in Ho Chi Minh City on April 21.

HCM City (VNA) – A book exhibition marking the 50-year implementation ofPresident Ho Chi Minh’s testament was opened at the Academy of Politics RegionII in Ho Chi Minh City on April 21.

The event features 923 books, including thosepenned by the President along with books and articles on his life, career,ideology and testament written by other authors.

Deputy Director of the academy Phan Cong Khanhsaid the exhibition is meant to celebrate the 50-year implementation of thelate leader’s testament, thereby helping to affirm and uphold the values of hisideology in the current life.

He added it is also an activity in response tothe Vietnam Book Day (April 21) to help promote the reading habit in thecommunity.

President Ho Chi Minh began writing his will inMay 1965 and finished it in May 1969 – four months before he passed away. Thisspecial historic document has become a guideline for Vietnam’s revolution anddevelopment for both at that time and in the future. -VNA
