Hanoi (VNA) - The trust and consensus of the business community andentrepreneurs towards the Party and State further show the Government’s responsibilityfor the business community, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has said.

Therefore, the Government identifies enterprises as both thecentre and the subject of development, in the spirit of “benefits must beharmonised, risks are shared,” Chinh told outstanding Vietnamese entrepreneursat their meeting on October 12 on the occasion of the Vietnam Entrepreneurs’Day (October 13).

He affirmed that the Party and State always pay attention toand appreciate the role of entrepreneurs and the business community in the nation building and development cause.

Currently, the Government is urgently finalising a resolutionto provide temporary guidance on safe, flexible adaptation to and effectivecontrol of the COVID-19 pandemic to create favourable conditions for productionand business activities and ensure pandemic prevention and control safety; and sooncomplete a socio-economic recovery and development programme.

The Government leader called on the business community andentrepreneurs to promote unity and contribute more to the process of building astrong and prosperous Vietnam.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerceand Industry Pham Tan Cong and businessmen, representatives of enterprises,cooperatives and business associations agreed that 2021 is a year ofunprecedented difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. In difficulttimes, the Vietnamese business community has received the great attention of leaders of the Party,, State and Government.

At present, Vietnam has about 850,000 enterprises, more than25,000 cooperatives and about 5.6 million individual business households./.
