Phnom Penh (VNA) - General Secretary of the Cambodian National AssemblyLeng Peng Long on May 20 expressed his gratitude for 30,000 face masks theVietnamese National Assembly (NA) granted to its Cambodian counterpart and theCambodian Senate.

At a ceremony toreceive the gift in Phnom Penh, he affirmed that the gift partly meets the needfor medical supplies to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

It also expresses thefriendship and solidarity between the two countries in general and the twolegislatures in particular.

VietnameseAmbassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh said that in the context of COVID-19seriously affecting the world, countries must stand shoulder-to-shoulder in thefight against the disease.

This small gift,he went on, shows Vietnam’s willingness to share difficulties with Cambodia indealing with challenges created by COVID-19./.
