Cambodia temporarily shuts border with Vietnam for COVID-19 concerns
The Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has announced the suspension of activities at the country’s border gates with Vietnam following complex developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Phnom Penh (VNA) – The Cambodian Ministry ofForeign Affairs and International Cooperation has announced the suspension ofactivities at the country’s border gates with Vietnam following complexdevelopments of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a letter sent to the Vietnamese Embassy inCambodia on March 18, the ministry said Vietnamese citizens’ entry intoCambodia and Cambodian citizens’ entry into Vietnam by road, water or air willbe suspended as from 11:59pm of March 20.
The measure is designed to prevent anyinconvenience caused by quarantine requirements for citizens of both countries,according to the Cambodian ministry./.
