Cambodia, Thailand boost cooperation along border

The two ministers will meet at the 14th General Border Committee Meeting, to beheld on February 14-15 in the Cambodian capital city of Phnom Penh, thestatement said.

"Both sides will hold talks, focusing mainly on strengthening andenhancing good ties and cooperation between the two countries' armies,especially in maintaining peace, stability, cooperation and development alongthe border," it said.

The statement added that the annual meeting would also be a good opportunityfor the two ministers to work together to resolve challenging issues along theborder for the interests of the two countries and peoples.

Cambodia shares more than 800 km border with Thailand to the north and west.-VNA
