Cambodia's defence officers visit Soc Trang province

Yong Mao briefed local authorities aboutthe border security and the situation of overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia.
He expressed his deep gratitude to the Vietnamese army and people for supporting Cambodia over the past time.
Cambodia always remembers the valuable assistance of Vietnamese voluntarysoldiers in the liberation of Cambodiafrom the Khmer Rouge genocidal regime, he said.
The two sides exchanged cooperationopportunities between Cambodia’sDevelopment Department and Soc Trang province in the field of economics in thecoming time.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee Ngo Hung said the locality is interested in implementing programmesand policies to take care of poor households, especially the Khmer people.
He hoped that Cambodia’s Development Departmentwill provide more support for Vietnamese expatriates.-VNA
