Cao Bang province, Baise city of China talk cooperation enhancement

CaoBang (VNA) – The People’s Council of Cao Bang held talks with theStanding Committee of the People’s Congress of Baise city, the Guangxi ZhuangAutonomous Region of China, in the northern border Vietnamese province on April25.
TrieuDinh Le, Standing Vice Secretary of the Cao Bang Party Committee and Chairmanof the provincial People’s Council, said the meeting was a chance for the two people-electedbodies to review the implementation of the bilateral friendship exchangeagreement, share working experience, and explore ways for implementing the cooperationcommitments and agreements reached between the Secretary of the Cao Bangprovincial Party Committee and the Secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Party Committeeearlier this year.
Henoted his province and Baise boast close-knit relations. Together with thedevelopment of the Vietnam - China comprehensive strategic cooperativepartnership, exchanges and cooperation between Cao Bang and Baise have alsobeen growing and produced significant achievements in various fields,contributing to the friendship and political trust between the two countries.
Since the Cao Bang People’sCouncil and the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Baise signed a friendship exchange agreement in May2023, the two sides have actively implemented cooperation activities and obtainedfruitful results to generate practical benefits for both, the official went on.
Lastyear, Cao Bang signed 15 documents and agreements with Chinese localities andpartners, sent 31 delegations on working visits to China, and welcomed sixdelegations of Chinese administrations and businesses.
Exchangesat all levels, especially between the two sides’ border districts have been carriedout frequently. Besides, discussions about transport connectivity have alsoreaped certain results, Le noted./.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
