Hanoi (VNA)– Hanoi police on May 8 arrested three Chinese nationals for using fake ATMcards to steal from banks. They are40-year-old Zhu Hai Rong, 41-year-old Qiu Shui Bing and 37-year-old Zhong JianHua from China’s Jiangxi province. Initialinvestigations indicate that in March, Zhu, Qiu and Zhong were instructed by anotherChinese national to use counterfeit ATM cards. On April 20, theyreceived 110 ATM cards from an unidentified person who promised to pay each ofthem 5,000 CNY (723 USD). After enteringVietnam via the Huu Nghi border gate in the northern province of Lang Son onApril 22, they stayed in a hotel in Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi. They allegedlystole a total amount of money equivalent to 10,000 CNY on April 22 and again onApril 23. They were arrested on April 23 while using the cards to withdrawmoney in Hang Trong ward, Hoan Kiem district. The case is underfurther investigation.-VNA
